📝 RibblePaws Terms & Conditions

Welcome to RibblePaws! By booking our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, which are designed to ensure a safe, professional, and caring experience for you and your cat(s).

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Service Provider: RibblePaws, offering in-home cat sitting and optional GPS tracking.
  • Service Area: [Insert your local coverage area]
  • Availability: Bookings are accepted subject to availability and confirmation.
  • Insurance: RibblePaws is fully insured. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
  • DBS Certification: Available upon request.

2. BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

Bookings require a meet-and-greet prior to service commencement. This is free and non-binding.

Payment must be made in full at least 48 hours before the first day of service unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellations:

  • Up to 72 hours before service: Full refund.
  • Less than 72 hours: 50% refund.
  • Same-day cancellations: No refund.

Emergency extensions to bookings may be possible but are not guaranteed.

3. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide accurate information about the cat’s health, temperament, and care needs.
  • Ensure the cat is microchipped and up to date on flea/worming treatments (especially for outdoor access).
  • Supply enough food, litter, and other essentials for the duration of the booking.
  • Provide safe and working access to the home (key handover, alarm codes, etc.).
  • Notify RibblePaws of any changes to booking or emergency contacts immediately.

4. CAT WELFARE & MEDICAL CARE

RibblePaws is not responsible for any injury or illness that occurs naturally during the sitting period.

If your cat becomes ill or injured, we will contact your preferred vet. If unreachable, we will use the nearest available vet.

The client is responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during the sitting period.

5. RIBBLETRACK GPS TRACKING ADD-ON

Eligibility

  • Available only for cats with outdoor access via a secure cat flap.
  • Cat must be collar-trained and microchipped.
  • Owners must sign a GPS Tracking Consent Form before service begins.

Service Inclusions

  • RibbleTrack provides real-time location tracking via a fitted GPS collar.
  • Location updates will be shared with the owner during the sitting period.
  • Safe-zone alerts and a lost-cat action plan are included.
  • The tracker will be removed at the end of the service.

Owner Responsibilities

  • Owner must confirm that their cat is physically fit and comfortable wearing a collar.
  • That their property and surrounding area are safe for outdoor exploration.
  • That microchip details are up to date and registered with a national database.

Disclaimer

While RibbleTrack increases the likelihood of recovery if a cat roams or becomes lost, no GPS service guarantees 100% prevention of loss or harm.

RibblePaws accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or death of a cat while outdoors, including during periods when GPS tracking is active.

Owners accept that by opting into RibbleTrack, their cat is allowed outside and monitored to the best of our ability.

6. KEY HANDLING & HOME SECURITY

  • Keys will be securely stored and returned as agreed at the end of the booking.
  • Home access will be used solely for the purpose of animal care.
  • RibblePaws will not be held liable for accidental damage unless due to proven negligence.

7. LIABILITY WAIVER

  • The escape, loss, injury, or death of a cat due to open doors/windows, outdoor access, or natural causes.
  • Theft or loss of property where no negligence can be proven.
  • Delays caused by extreme weather, traffic, or unforeseen emergencies.

8. PRIVACY & DATA

  • Client details are stored securely and never shared without permission.
  • GPS location data is only accessible by RibblePaws and the cat owner during the service window.
  • All records comply with UK GDPR regulations.

9. EMERGENCIES

  • Attempt immediate contact with the client and listed emergency contact.
  • Act in the cat’s best interest, including emergency vet care or safe home boarding if required.
  • Continue to provide care if the owner’s return is delayed, subject to availability.

10. AGREEMENT

By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions, and any related consent forms (e.g., RibbleTrack GPS Tracking).
